    Doctor of Philosophy Programme<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    PhD in Energy Studies<\/strong> & PhD in Material Science<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Entry Requirement<\/strong>s<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. At least, a Master\u2019s Degree in Material Science or equivalent Master’s degree in other related discipline (Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Engineering) from a reputable university is the minimum academic qualification required for entry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. In exceptional cases, subject to the relevant UBD regulations for Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, an applicant with a First Class Honours degree or relevant qualifications from a recognized institution may be considered to register as a PhD candidate. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Subject to the UBD regulations, depending on the merits of each case, a Master’s by research degree candidate in a relevant field at UBD may be considered for conversion to PhD candidature.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. A sound research proposal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Shortlisted applicants may be interviewed on a case by case basis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Applicants must be able to demonstrate English language proficiency of at least grade C6 in English Language at GCE \u2018O\u2019 Level Examinations or a grade \u2018B\u2019 in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) or an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 or TOEFL PBT minimum overall score of at least 550, or Band B2 in UBD English Proficiency Test (UBD-EPT).\u00a0Note: TOEFL-ITP (Institutional TOEFL Program) and IELTS General are not accepted in UBD English language entry requirement<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Full-Time: minimum 36 months, maximum 60 months<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Part-Time: minimum 48months, maximum 84 months<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
